How a Polygraph Exam Actually Works
This isn't as intense as you might think. It's a structured conversation with measurements. Here's what actually happens.
We Talk First
Before anything formal happens, we talk. We figure out what questions actually matter. We walk you through what's going to happen so there are no surprises. This part is just conversation.
Private Pre Test Review
The examiner sits down with the person being tested. They go over every question together. They answer concerns. They establish what normal responses look like for that person. Nothing gets sprung on anyone.
The Actual Exam
Sensors are attached that measure breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, and electrodermal activity (the electrical conductance of the skin measured at the fingertips). Then the questions are asked in a controlled, calm format. The person answers. The instruments record their body's responses.
Data Analysis
The examiner reviews the data using validated methods. Results usually fall into one of three categories. Deception Indicated. No Deception Indicated. Or Inconclusive. Each one means something specific.
Results Delivery
Verbal results provided immediately. Written reports available upon request for legal or documentation purposes.

You get verbal results right after the exam. If you need a written report for legal reasons or documentation, we can provide that. Our examiners can also travel to you when that makes sense.
This Only Works With Consent
